Event 13: Scott Connor Takes Beat #2 - Falls in 5th

$350+50 Senior (50+) No Limit Hold Em (Re-entry)

5th Place - Scott Conner (Pittsburgh, PA) - $4,828

The Brindisi Bad Beat Express quickly claimed another victim as Conner got it in with the best holding A-10 vs Joe Brindisi's A9.  This time the turn brought the fateful three-outer and sent Scott to the rail.  Conner wins $4,828 for his efforts.

Event 13: Palladino 3-Outed - 6th Place

$350+50 Senior (50+) No Limit Hold Em (Re-entry)

6th Place - Tony Palladino (Franklin Lakes, NJ) - $4,023
In the second three-outer elimination in a row, Palladino had Joe Brindisi dead to rights with A8 vs A6.  But a 6 on the flop brought the bad news and finished Palladino's night in 6th winning $4,023.

Event 13: Larry Gabrielov Out in 7th

$350+50 Senior (50+) No Limit Hold Em (Re-entry)

7th Place - Larry Gabrielov (Virginia Beach, VA) - $3,218

Larry's tournament came to an end as he flopped 2nd pair holding K10 on a 7-10-J flop. But Bill Eitze was holding KJ for top pair.  The board ran out 4-6 and ended Larry's tournament in 7th place.

Event 14: Bubble Burst - 18 Players Left

Event 14 - $350+$50 Pot Limit Omaha 8B

The bubble burst on Paul Hiskey of Vienna, VA.

Facing off with "Ryan" Nick Gelsomino of Deerfield, NJ, Hiskey was in a solid position with his AK♥A3 vs Nick's AQQ4.

Unfortunately for Hiskey, a Q hit on the flop giving Gelsomino trips along with a 7-9.  With a deuce on the turn, Hiskey just needed any low card but a 3 to chop the pot.

The river was a 3.  Gelsomino scoops and ends play for the day with Hiskey out in 19th.

Here are the chips counts headed into Day 2 tomorrow at 1 PM with "Miami" John Cernuto and Ylon Schwartz still alive after surviving a brutal table all day long.

Event 14: Patton Hangs On

Steve Patton from Woodbridge, VA had been pacing up the remaining three tables holding around 12k and trying to avoid being the bubble boy.

He finally played a hand, flopped a wheel with his A295, scooped the pot and got to sit down for a minute and relax.

And now he's back up to the standing position and hoping to avoid the bubble.

Event 14: Marshall Out - Down to 19

350+50 Pot Limit Omaha 8B

Allan Marshall didn't enjoy his new seat.

Marshall sat at his new table over 63k.  He ended up out in 20th Place.

Marshall held AT7T against Ian Graham (Boston, MA) with AQ65.

A flop of A-7-Q put Marshall in serious trouble and running 2's ended a rough night for Marshall in 20th place.

We're now on the bubble!

Event 14: "Slow Roll Scooper-Duper"

With late night play comes late night hilarity.

Josh Pender and Alan Campbell ended up in a blind vs. blind hand and it was ugly.

With only one bet into the hand, Campbell turned over Q274 missing the board but having a chance at a low.

Pender, thinking he had probably lost the hand, took his time to flip it over and showed 63QT.  After realized he'd paired his 6 and also won the low with his 6-3, Pender exclaimed "Scooper Duper!" as people around the table jokingly called out his accidental slow roll.

Play continues with 21 to go and looking for 18 left to end it for the night.  Ylon Schwartz and "Miami" John Cernuto still remain in the field.

Event 14: Thrills and Spills

350+50 Pot Limit Omaha 8B

As the field whittles down, Peter Ippolito couldn't catch a break.

Holding the lead going to the river with an AK high hand, Ryan Waddell of Philadelphia caught a third spade on the river to go with his 23♠ to send Ippolito out the door in 23rd place.

Ippolito may have to get a new drink holder. When he got up, he once again bumped the table spilling his beer, delaying play for another beer clean-up and giving Ippolito his second party foul in as many days.

No word on what beer or paper towel company offered Ippolito a sponsorship after his elimination.

Event 14: Marshall Law

Event 14 - $350+$50 Pot Limit Omaha 8B

Claudangelo Beuadouin (South Ozone Park, NY) never even got his gun out of the holster against the Marshall.

Beuadouin was all-in with QQ52 against Allan Marshall.  He was not happy to see Marshall turn over A2A2 with one of A2 combos suited.

But what made it worse was the AA9 flop giving Marshall quads and swift finish to Beaudouin's night.

22 players remain as we near the end of the night for these players.

Event 12: Childs Eliminated

$350 + 50 Six Max No Limit Hold'em

If Lee Childs is going to get any chips from Alex Rocha it's going to have to be in an event following this one.  He has just been knocked out, and players are consolidating to two tables as 12 now remain.  We will bring you places 13-18 shortly.  The average chip count among the remaining players is 300,000, and they will go on break in five minutes.  When they come back the Level will be 19 with blinds at 5k/10k/1k.

Event 12: Twitter Main Event

$350 + 50 Six Max No Limit Hold'em

Level 18 has just begun with blinds at 4k/8k/1k, and 17 players now remain.  Throughout the day Lee Childs has been mentioning on Twitter that he wants to get some of those chips Alex Rocha was holding.  Childs now has his chance as they were sat at the same table after the redraw.  Now this is just  playful banter, no hard feelings between these two.  Lee made it clear that he doesn't have to get the chips directly from Rocha, it could be those that Alex lost to someone else (he just wants those chips).

Event 14: Martini Clears 100k, Salman KO's Phillips

Event 14 - $350+$50 Pot Limit Omaha 8B

Two big hands took place back to back.

On Table 2, two of the three big stacks locked horns.  James Martini continued to chip up as 26k pot bet was too much for Robert Wachtel of Atlanta, GA to call on a board of A♦ 7♣ K♥ 8♣ .  The cigar-chomping Wachtel released his hand and Martini showed A♥ 7♣ K♦ 6♣ for two pair and the nut flush draw.  Martini moved to over 100k with the win.

Table 1 saw an elimination hand between Joel Salman of Oceanside, NY and Michael Phillips of New York, NY.  Salman showed A366 against Phillips A44K.  After a flop of JJQ, running 7's showed up preventing a low hand and making Salman's 6's the winning high hand.

Salman went to 79,900 with the win and cut the field to 32 players.  After 3 more eliminations, the players head to break with 29 left.

Event 10 Recap

$350 + $50 Deep Stack No Limit Hold'em

After an hour-long heads-up battle, Brian O'Donoghue (Bayside, NY) finally collected all 15 million chips in play.  His victory today earned him $50,132 and his first Borgata Poker Open trophy.  Kenny 'Super Tuan' Nguyen (Orlando, FL) fought hard to overcome a 2.75:1 chip deficit, but the cards did not fall his way.  Nguyen finshed 2nd for $28,187.

Third place went to Ryan Wince (Columbus, OH) along with $17,747. He scored a double KO at the final table when his pocket Aces held up in a three-way pre-flop all-in against pocket 9s and QJ suited.

The final three players are all poker pros, although Kenny Nguyen also owns a nail salon.  Nguyen was born in Vietnam as Tuan Nguyen, but earned the nickname 'Super Tuan' due to his fascination with the original Superman movie.  When he became a US citizen, he took the first name Kenny, but still carries the 'Super Tuan' nickname.

John 'Bistro' Hinds currently leads in the Borgata Poker Open Leaderboard contest and he made this final table, finishing 8th for $5,742.  This finish will boost his point total even higher.

615 entries amounted to total buy-ins of $215,250.  63 players earned a piece of the prize pool and 48 of those returned for day two today.

Two WSOP bracelet holders made the cut on day one -- and then busted out back-to-back on day two.  Mike 'Little Man' Sica (N Brunswick, NJ) ran A9 into AK, finishing 20th.  Ylon Schwartz (Brooklyn, NY) ran pocket Jacks into pocket Queens, finishing in 19th place.  Both earned $1,148.

"I started off losing a lot, down to 10k early... on the bubble, I had 180k and went up to 1 million by the end of day one"  O'Donoghue said.  He started day two as the chip leader and worked that big stack all the way victory.

Final Table Results
1 - Brian O'Donoghue (Bayside, NY) - $50,132
2 - Kenny Nguyen (Orlando, FL) - $28,187

Event 14: Hiskey Re-Invents the Wheel

Table 3 continues to bring excitement as Paul Hiskey (Vienna, VA) doubles through Allan Marshall.

With a board of Q♣ A♣ 5♦ 3♥ 10♣, Hiskey induced a call on the turn and the all-in call on the river from Marshall.  Hiskey showed 3♦ 4♥ 3♠ 2♦ for the wheel.  Marshall mucked and doubled up to over 42k.
