$1,000 + 90 + 500 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold'em

Then Shawn was all-in with A9 against Tom Morgenstern's KT suited.  The board fell J 5 4 8 J and Shawn doubled up to over 400k.

Event 22: On The Bubble...No More

$1,000 + 90 Six Max No Limit Hold'em

It felt like a blink of an eye before the board read 31 players remaining, and hand for hand play had begun.  With blinds at 1,500/3,000/400, Bob Panitch (Chicago, IL) opened the pot from the button to 6,000.  Franco Bonnaci (Pittsburgh, PA) three bet from the small blind to 15,000 and Panitch called:

Flop: Kh 7d 4c

Bonnaci checked, and Panitch bet out 25,000 and was then raised to 55,000 by Franco.  Panitch then shipped his stack in (130,000), and Bonnaci called:

Turn: 5h

River: Jh

A pretty unfortunate way to end up on the outside looking in, as Panitch goes runner-runner hearts, and Franco Bonnaci is our bubble boy for this event.

This is by far the most insane final table I've ever been at. I have 660k at 8k/16k with 7 left

Event 20: Brown Wins Without Showdown

$1,000 + 90 + 500 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold'em

On a flop of Q 5 2 with two clubs, Harrison Gimbel (sb) bet.  Michael Brown (button) called.

With that pot, Michael chipped up to ~1.4 million, good for the chip lead.

$1,000 + 90 + 500 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold'em

Level 22:  Blinds 8k/16k with 2k ante.

With 7 players remaining, the average stack is 708k.  At this level, an average stack has more than 44 big blinds.

With stacks that deep, there's no need to push.

Steve Dannenmann is the short stack and he has to push.

After Shawn Busse opened on the button for 35k, Steve (sb) shoved for 179k more.  After giving it some thought, Shawn let it go.   Now Steve's up to ~280k (17.5 big blinds).

Event 22: Pandya Power

$1,000 + 90 Six Max No Limit Hold'em

Ketan Pandya has been chipping up, and as well spun around to his table he was mulling over an all-in bet from his opponent.  The flop was 6 7 9 rainbow, and there was approximately 13,000 in the pot.  His opponent was all in for just under 100,000, and after some thought Pandya decided to make the call.  His opponent had Q 9 and was in the lead against the A 7 of Ketan.  The turn paired the board with a 6, and the river gave Ketan a full house as a seven spiked.  He is now hovering over 225,000 and continues this upward trend.

$1,000 + 90 + 500 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold'em

On a flop of J 9 5 rainbow, fireworks ensued.

Michael Brown bet 65k.

Harrison Gimbel shoved for 419k.

Joe Gibbons shoved for 260k.

Michael Brown tanked, then called.  The hands were tabled:

Michael: T8 (open-ender)
Harrison: AJ (top/top)
Joe:  KJ suited (top pair, bad kicker).

The last two came 2 6 and despite picking up a flush draw on the turn, Joe whiffed the river and was busted in 8th place.

Harrison collected the monster pot and another bounty.  He's back to over 1.2 million and back in the chip lead.

Michael was left with about 400k.

$1,000 + 90 Six Max No Limit Hold'em

Jamie Kerstetter (Monroe Township, NJ)

Jamie Kestetter  (Monroe Township, NJ) went to dinner break with 122,000, and slipped a little after break.  We walked up on a board of 7d Kc 9d 4h, and Jamie put out a bet of 11,500, which we opponent then called.  The river was the Qd and both straight and flush draws may have gotten there, but the action went check-check.  Kerstetter's opponent turned of K 10, and Jamie showed J 10 for the king high straight.  Jamie now gets herself back over 100,000 and turns the page on her post dinner leak.
