The final 27 players are in the money including Mike Holm (Woodridge, IL) who is in the hunt to win the Borgata Poker Open Leaderboard promotion.
Holm's 26th place finish will earn him a few more points as he looks to close the gap on Brian O'Donoghue (Bayside, NY). Holm began the day 84 points behind O'Donoghue who has posted the score to beat and not playing any more events.
Holm, in addition to playing the 11 am bounty tournament, racked up participation points in the 6 pm tournament. But just after busting with JJ vs QQ in the 11 am, he was eliminated in the 6pm.
He knows Friday's schedule gives him only two more chances to earn points to give him a shot at winning the contest and the $2,700 Borgata Fall Poker Open Championship seat.

Coming back from dinner the tables was really quiet, and players were just keeping to themselves. Players began talking football, and suddenly to level of chattiness went up and up. They were needling each other about pre flop play and post flop play, and that conversation played over into this hand. Patrick was messing around saying he wasn't sure what to do, so he just limped the 80,000. It folded around Ofir Mor on the button, and he asked Patrick what he had behind (1,600,000). Mor then raised to 400,000, and it folded back to Eskandar. Patrick then went all-in and Mor called:

After a raise and a couple of callers, a short stack was all in with 33, Abe was all in for 130k with AJ, and Pete had them both covered holding AK.

The hand was already on the river with a board of 8c Qc 2s 7s Ks, and Brecher had fired out a 300,000 bet. Kyle took his time with the decision and announced he was all-in, which was roughly 900,000 total. Steve made the call and flipped over Kh Qs (top two), while Kyle tabled Js 10h, and was clearly hoping to get Steve off a range of hands.
Kyle finishes in 13th place and will receive $30,083. Brecher is now up to 9,695,000, and sits well clear of his nearest competitor.
